WELCOME TO THE BLUE ROSE FAMILY
In Norman, Oklahoma, in 1975, a young band, New Rodeo,
morphed into something named Blue Rose Cafe. That band, and their
friends and fellow musicians in other bands, spawned a family that
has grown over the years, and scattered to the four winds. On August
2, 2003, after almost thirty years, they came together again to
honor a brother, Pat Long, who left us on April 23. We dedicate
this site to his memory, and to the goal of keeping this family
in touch over the years to come.
We'll be telling the story of the Reunion, as folks who
were there send us their versions, along with pictures. Click on
"Reunion" for the first installment, and on "Posters"
for keepsakes you can get. News and pictures of the local Tulsa
group will be under "OK Pickers". Try "Bands"
for history and pics of all the folks we honor as members of the
family.
